"This is not Feminism"

Films: Invasion of the Bee Girls (1973)

Alias: Susan Harris, various others

Type: Man-Made

Location: Civilized area

Height/Weight: That of average humans.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: Sigh...look, I subscribe to the fact that women have more than enough reasons to demand more than a bit more power, but this isn't how you do it. The idea is that men and women are equal, not that the former needs to die. Try saying that to the Bee Girls.

History: A mad scientist at heart, Dr. Susan Harris was engineering a race of sexually active yet deadly "Bee Girls" through radiation and mutated bee venom. The goal is to cause men to have heart attacks during sex, and it's been working rather well.

Notable Kills: Death by sex, folks.

Final Fate: Eventually, an investigator puts Harris' plan to a halt by shooting the machinery and leaving her and the rest to burn away in the collapsing room.

Powers/Abilities: Insanely seductive.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 3-For guys as chaste as I am, they aren't much of a problem. But those wide black eyes will forever haunt our dreams. Imagine seeing THAT while doing it...unless you're into that sort of thing, of course.

Trivia: -There was actually a sort-of sequel in 1998 in the form of Seattle play, "Beyond the Invasion of the Bee Girls".

-This was the first written work of writer Nicholas Meyer, and undoubtfully his most stressful, as he nearly balked from the project when it was slightly rewritten by others.

Sprout some actual wings in the film and you'll be on your way.

I bet nobody will call her 'Honey' after this. Wow. I think I pointed out the biggest visual pun in the film.

That better be a mannequin being subjected to that.
Even the sensuous can worship the evil.

Presenting the end to the most paused moment of this film.
